Recycle-by-design flexible packaging produced several world-firsts while the incorporation of recycled resins in rigid plastic applications became common in soft drinks and other markets. Fossil plastic-alternative solutions also grew in sophistication, with bioplastic, paper-based and reusable metal packaging solutions increasing in availability.
