12 Nov 2018 --- Global metal and glass packaging specialists Ardagh has announced a 9 percent drop in profits while recording a 3 percent increase in revenue in its third quarter financial results. Overall revenue was recorded at US$2.39 billion, however profit prior to tax shows a 9 percent decrease (US$400 million). Lower earnings in glass packaging in the US and metal packaging in Europe, in addition to cost inflation, are reasons for the profit decrease.

23 Aug 2018 --- US manufacturer of precision vacuum components Sputtering Components will become a member of the Bühler Group. Bühler is purchasing all shares from the previous owners. SCI is a provider of components and subassemblies for large-area vacuum coating systems. Post-acquisition, SPI will operate as an autonomous unit of the vacuum coating business of Bühler Leybold Optics.
02 Aug 2018 --- Beatson Clark are supplying M&S with smaller, more stylish bottles for the supermarket’s own-brand salad dressing. The repackage comes after English Provender Company (EPC) conducted research for M&S which found that customers thought the existing salad dressing bottle was too big. As a result, they often threw away the unfinished product when they felt it had passed its use-by date, creating unnecessary waste.
