Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) substitutes the atmospheric air inside a package with a protective gas mix and enables shelf life extension without preservatives. According to Innova Market Insights, MAP technology has shown growth of +30% in recently tracked F&B packaging launches. Also, 10% of all F&B launches tracked in Europe featured MAP technology in 2021.
