Aegg to showcase new rigid food packaging lines at Packaging Innovations UK
07 Feb 2019 --- Premium glass and plastic packaging suppliers Aegg is set to unveil several new lines of rigid food packaging at Packaging Innovations in Birmingham, UK, later this month. This will include an extended range of table-presentable glass food pots, a new range of glass packaging jars and bottles in addition to its new thin-walled ultra-clear PP and PET pots and its innovatively designed PP plastic sauce and soup pots.
Aegg’s new glass jars and bottles are suited to jams, spreads, sauces and drinks and range from 210ml to 1700ml. The table presentable clear pots are designed for both a dining table as well as on-shelf in retail and food service outlets. These pots are ideal for premium starters as well as chilled and frozen desserts, including ice cream for retailers, hotels, restaurants, cafes or foodservice organizations, the supplier says. Ranging from 60ml to 270ml, these pots are available to order directly at the show.
The supplier will also be displaying a new range of clear freezable recyclable PET food pots and bowls at Packaging Innovations. Aegg’s technical team developed an innovative method to be able to produce these injection molded thin-walled PET containers, resulting in typical wall sections from 1mm. The pots are recyclable and can be used for ambient, chilled as well as frozen foods. The non-brittle PET pots have been tested to withstand freezer temperatures.
In addition, Aegg will have on show its new range of thin-walled highly clarified PP pots and bowls. The pots can be used for ambient, chilled as well as microwaveable foods.
Aegg’s PP soup & sauce pots are available in double serve (720ml) and single serve (410ml) sizes, designed for flexible labeling solutions. The design of each includes a tamper tab with an easy open “press down” feature as well as a hinged lid and resealable pouring spout, protecting hands from steam when stirring and pouring. These microwave-friendly pots are ideal for broths, gravies, stews, stocks, creams, custards, soups and sauces and are available to order from Aegg’s Packaging Innovations stand.
“We have introduced several new lines of food packaging over the past few months. We look forward to showcasing these at Packaging Innovations,” says Jamie Gorman, Managing Director, Aegg. “We have already received great feedback on our glass products, although visitors to our stand will be able to view some brand new additions to the extended range.”
“Also, visitors looking for smaller quantities of our products can also receive a 25 percent discount on their first order from our sister service miniAegg,” he adds.
The miniAegg service offers off-the-shelf products in smaller quantities, from one box upwards, suitable for companies with restricted space or budgets or larger companies wanting to trial Aegg’s products.
Aegg packaging can be found on the premium shelves of major supermarkets and increasingly as part of airline meals and in foodservice outlets.
