Ardagh to showcase latest in metal and glass sustainable solutions at BrauBeviale 2018
09 Oct 2018 --- Ardagh Group is set to showcase its award-winning, textured and embossed innovations in aluminum and steel can coating at the upcoming BrauBeviale 2018 show in Nuremberg, Germany. The supplier states that these latest innovations represent its continued focus on innovation and sustainability as the pillars at the forefront of its mission to meet consumers’ growing demand for brand-enhancing and sustainable metal and glass packaging.
Innovations to be displayed include Ardagh’s thermochromic effect "Reveal Impact" which unveils a hidden message or image as the beverage can’s temperature changes.
From its glass business, the design team will give visitors a first-hand demonstration of its industry-leading "Sculptured Embossing" technology, creating textured design effects such as frosting, water ripples, woodgrain, and citrus peel in glass, as well as giving ultra-high definition and lifelike detail to brand icons – something not possible with conventional embossing.
Both glass and metal are permanent materials, which means they are infinitely recyclable without any loss of quality and, as such, form part of a circular economy – a key driver in the elimination of the planet’s waste.
Ardagh continues to support higher recycling rates through industry initiatives such as Every Can Counts and Glass Guardians and says it is proud of its industry-leading performance in sustainability, which is reflected in being awarded a Gold rating by EcoVadis for the third consecutive year.
Ardagh is a global leader in glass and metal packaging solutions, producing packaging for most of the world's leading food, beverage and consumer care brands. It operates over 100 facilities in 22 countries, employing over 23,000 people and achieves global sales exceeding US$8.6 billion.
Just recently, Ardagh announced the launch of Kahlúa Espresso Martini in its Nitro Can. The Nitro Can is the ready-to-drink (RTD) packaging solution for nitro beverages which was launched in late 2016 to capitalize on the nitro coffee trend gaining momentum in key European markets. Kahlúa uses a 250ml slim Nitro Can to provide consumers with a velvety smooth Espresso Martini infused with nitrogen.
