Introducing The Sleek Inverted For Food Packaging
Part of the Paxiom Group, the Sleek brand is manufactured in Italy, the global center of horizontal flow wrapping technology. Flow wrapping is a horizontal packaging process wherein a product enters the machinery and is wrapped in clear or printed film depending on the preference of the user.
The result is a tightly fitted flexible package with a horizontal back seal and top/bottom vertical seal. The servo-driven Sleek Inverted horizontal flow wrapping machine is engineered to handle soft, sticky, or multipack products that may be difficult to push with the traditional lug chain design found on most conventional flow wrappers.
With the Sleek Inverted, the film is fed from below the product while the product is securely carried on top of the packaging film from the former to the cutting head. The Sleek Inverted produces up to 100 packages per minute with a maximum web width of 19.6” - with an option to expand to 25.5”, a package width of up to 9” - with an option to expand to 11.8” - and a package length of up to 24”. Similar to other Sleek Wrapper flow wrappers, the Sleek Inverted is also capable of operating on a wide variety of materials including polypropylene, microperf, multilayer laminated, co-extruded, foil films, and more.
These flexibility benefits make the Sleek Inverted the perfect flow wrapping solution for many food items such as meal kits and herbs that need gentle handling and carrying. In addition, the Sleek Inverted flow pack machine is operated by 5 servo motors. Among the advantages of servo drive technology are quick and easy changeovers and adjustments, less product and film waste and low maintenance costs. Servo motors function by providing accurate positioning and smooth acceleration – deceleration. Its simple design makes the Sleek Wrapper Inverted very easy to set-up, operate, and maintain.
Designed to provide reliability, simplicity, and serviceability, the Sleek Inverted is built with quality components. It comes in a form of stainless steel frame packaging machine. Its other features include belt driven, belted or lugged in feed conveyor with snap-in pushers, right hand configuration, color touch screen HMI and Mitsubishi Plc, cantilevered self-cantering film holder, pre-programmable controls for up to 120 recipes, HMI integrated temperature control, automatic opening of hot fin wheels during stoppages, rotary seal jaws, automatic synchronization of crimper after jams, optional no product or no bag, optional no gap or no seal for misplaced products, and optional photocell for bag registration.
