Robotic rejection palletizing
Columbia/Okura’s line of robotic palletizers can be configured for easy separation and removal of out-of-specification products, whether packed in bags, cases, or bundles, company says. Palletizer receives an upstream signal from a checkweigher or metal detector identifying specific packages that do not meet user-defined requirements.
Following the signal, the robot can remove the product from the production line in 1 of 2 ways: It can stack it on a separate reject pallet for easy removal using a forklift, or it can place the product on an exit gravity conveyor for immediate inspection.
