Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) has granted Huhtamaki Istanbul recognitions for its Sleeve Cup and Two Compartment Cup. TSE is a jury member at World Packaging Organization (WPO), which gives out the WorldStar packaging awards. The jury selected the winners from packaging made for various purposes with different technologies. Both Sleeve Cup and Two Compartment Cup are very popular in the Turkish market at the moment. Sleeve Cup utilizes a special shrink sleeve, which conforms to a variety of exciting cup shapes. The film is of PET or alternative materials and the sleeved cups can be of any material, with a diameter range of 67 - 118 mm. The sleeve sits tightly on the cup starting from the rim and all the way to the bottom. The sleeving enables shiny and glossy images to be printed on the cup in up to 9 colors. The cup is especially suitable for dairy customers and for products like dessert and mousse, yogurt drinks and fruit yogurts. Pinar, one of Turkey's largest dairy producers and a front-runner in milk industry, has recently launched its delicious Yoplait fruit yogurts in Huhtamaki Sleeve Cup with a highly attractive, eye-catching design. Consumers can easily spot the distinctive shape and the glossy image. Also Danone has a very positive sales trend for its pudding Danette, sold in sleeved cups produced by Huhtamaki Turkey. In addition to this, Danone sells its Danio products in the Polish market in Huhtamaki's shrink sleeve cups. The design and print quality provide an ideal placement for the brand name.
