Historic Alsace brewed Meteor Blonde Biere has been repackaged for the UK as it continues its campaign to drive awareness and sales in the Off Trade. The label has been given greater stand out and now clearly highlights the brand’s premium positioning and brewed-at-source French credentials.
Imported by Casa Julia, Brasserie Meteor has seen On Trade sales and listings increase in the last year with both its iconic bottled lager and a range of draft offerings showing substantial gains in both the French and mainstream restaurant market.
Côte, the French restaurant chain, now lists the brand across its entire restaurant portfolio. The brand hopes to emulate this success in the Off Trade where it believes its independently brewed, authentic French beer offers retailers a valuable point of difference.
Stéphane Nuellas, Meteor’s Commercial Director comments “from the amount of interest Meteor has generated in the last year we believe that the brand is benefiting from the UK’s well developed interest in brewed-at-source, authentic beers.
“Traditionally our focus has been the On Trade, but we’re committed to developing our Off Trade business and hope that the strong on shelf stand out of the newly repackaged bottle with its emphasis on our authentic Alsace brewing tradition will help drive growth.”
Meteor is available in 24x 33cl bottles at 4.6 % abv and 30ltr kegs at 5% abv.
