Dairy company Arla has redesigned the packaging for its Anchor brand, in a move designed to “showcase its Britishness”. The new packaging will feature a Union Jack to reinforce the brand’s drive to champion British dairy, as well as an updated anchor logo. Gareth Turner, category director at parent company Arla Foods UK, said: “We know consumers want to know where the products they buy come from, so we believe it’s important to highlight that Anchor butter is made in Wiltshire with milk from British farms.” The redesign is being supported by a £4.5m digital and in-store marketing campaign, and the return of the “Hugglers” characters TV adverts.
