The solid-barrel unit uses a range of dies for flexibility of the extrusion process, and a spray unit allows rapid flavor changes. The unit can make innovative high-value products for the savory snack industry, specifically snack croutons.
These products can be produced in many sizes and shapes, and the extruder provides a cost-effective solution compared with the conventional process of mixing, forming and baking bread dough. Barrel diameters are available with outputs ranging from 225 to 2,000 kg per hour.
