In the build up to Christmas, Bel UK, a subsidiary of the Bel Group, the world’s leading producer of branded cheese portions, will be featuring Christmas themed packaging across two of its iconic brands.
Firstly, Bel UK will launch festive packaging on the Mini Baby Bel range. The packs, which were hugely successful last year, will feature six different designs including a range of festive birds and animals in seasonal pursuits, such as ice skating and skiing. The designs will also feature on shelf trays to give Mini Babybel greater standout in-store and help get consumers in the festive spirit.
Boursin Garlic and Fine Herbs and Boursin Pepper variants will also sparkle with new packaging this Christmas. The SKUs will feature a printed red ribbon around the pack, ensuring that the products stand out and help to get consumers into the Christmas spirit.
Richard Parry, Insights Manager at Bel UK said: “Christmas is a key time in the retail calendar, particularly for cheese which many people see as an important aspect of their celebration meal occasions. As an indication, last year, the festive Mini Babybel packs contributed to an 18.1% increase in Mini Babybel sales.
“The colourful festive packaging across Mini Babybel and Boursin helps to create a bold standout on-shelf, attracting shoppers attention and encouraging sales. During the Christmas period consumers seek fun, festive themed products to set the seasonal mood, creating a real sales opportunity for retailers. To make the most of this, retailers should display the packs prominently in-store and consider creating a special festive display to highlight seasonal products.”
