One of the largest food companies in the pacific region, Arnott's, has announced increased production levels as a direct result of installing food quality belts from Chiorino.
Chiorino UK Limited is a global manufacturer of food conveyor and transmission belts. The company has been working closely with Arnott's in order to improve, and maintain the manufacturing process of its factories.
Arnott's produce sweet biscuits, managing the whole process from making the raw dough, right through to packaging and distribution. Their products are made up of a combination of ingredients such as chocolate, icing, marshmallow, coconut, nuts and jam - all of which must be handled with care in order to meet stringent health legislations.
Chiorino has recently installed HP food quality belting on 4000 of Arnott's conveyors at their Maleston plant in Adelaide, South Australia. The belts offer total hygiene and are fully compliant with the criteria dictated by the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) thanks to the sophisticated production technology and the special polyurethane polymers being used.
Managing director of Chiorino UK, Carl Johnson, said, "the durability and improved performance of the HP range has so far provided Arnott's a 40% saving on the cost of replacing belts."
Johnson also reported, "the company provides fortnightly maintenance inspections on the belts at Arnott's, we ensureminimal downtime. Recent figures show a 15% increase in productivity as a direct result of our Chiorino belts and support."
