Global conveyor and transmission belt experts, Chiorino UK Limited, has recently helped fellow food equipment manufacturers, Nielsen, get out of a sticky belt situation.
To the relief of sweet and confectionery makers worldwide, Chiorino has launched an exciting new food belt that succeeds where others have failed. The 'IM5 U0-U2 D W A' dehisive food belt was designed in response to high demand in the industry to develop a belt that transports guey, sugar or caramel based products without them getting stuck in the process.
Chiorino was originally made aware of the problem by Nielsen, one of the biggest original equipment manufacturers of cooling tunnels in baking and confectionery markets. Managing Director of Chiorino UK, Carl Johnson, said, "Nielsen's customer feedback told us that the belts being used alongside their cooling tunnels were not performing well when transporting products such as marshmallows or caramel based bars. As a result, the whole process was being slowed down."
The new dehisive belt from Chiorino is made from a unique blend of PU, which combines the reliable performance of their PU belts, with the releasing properties of a silicone alternative. The benefit of using the 'IM5 U0-U2 D W A' over silicone belts is that it's easier to join, and there is no edge cupping in comparison to 1-ply silicone. Johnson said, "You'd expect the impressive features of this new development in belt manufacturing come at a price, but we’ve made sure that the new belt is price competitive with silicone belts to ensure manufacturers can afford the right belt for their product line."
