Cobra Beer Unveils New-look Packaging
To coincide with the new packaging launch, Cobra Light and Cobra Zero % have been re-branded having previously been Cobra Lower Cal and Cobra 0.0% respectively.
24/04/08 The new packaging will be rolled out from the first week of June as Cobra seeks to increase its shelf standout. The new designs have been created by Landor following the design agency’s appointment to Cobra’s account in January.
The review of Cobra’s branding and packaging will span its entire range of beers, with further announcements due to be made soon on new designs for its King Cobra and Cobra Bite variants.
To coincide with the new packaging launch, Cobra Light and Cobra Zero % have been re-branded having previously been Cobra Lower Cal and Cobra 0.0% respectively.
Cobra is planning new designs for its draught beer font and branded glassware and is also considering a switch from its award-winning embossed bottle for its 5% Premium, Light and Zero % beers in the autumn.
Will Ghali, Marketing Director explained: “Cobra has very strong branding so the re-design of the packaging was an evolution rather than a revolution. The aim was to give our beers a more contemporary, stylish appearance, and to increase the standout on shelf. We’re delighted with the new designs and, more importantly, feel that they’ll have a really strong appeal with our core consumers.”
