The BC-10 colorimeter from Konica Minolta measures the color of baked, fried and processed foods, as well as ingredients. It is designed for multiplant, multiline companies and co-packers.
Besides crust color, the BC-10 measures color in most bakery and snack food products, block yeast, brown sugar, calcium propionate and blended flour. All the user does is place the meter on a sample and press a button. The LCD display shows minimum, maximum and mean computations for the past 16 samples. Results are offered in L*a*b* or Bakery Contrast Units (BCU) measurements.
