CORPAK® MedSystems Introduces the Enhanced Second-Generation CORTRAK® 2 Enteral Access System™
CORPAK® MedSystems has introduced the second-generation model of its innovative CORTRAK® Enteral Access System (EAS™) -- the CORTRAK® 2 EAS™, which allows confirmation of feeding tube placement without the need for X-ray verification.
CORPAK® MedSystems has introduced the second-generation model of its innovative CORTRAK® Enteral Access System (EAS™) -- the CORTRAK® 2 EAS™, which allows confirmation of feeding tube placement without the need for X-ray verification. Equivalent to the original CORTRAK® System in navigation and operation, the new system offers enhanced performance related to visual feedback for safe bedside placement of feeding tubes and additional information to aid in the confirmation of tube tip location.
The CORTRAK® 2 EAS™ has been redesigned as a sleeker, more portable system. Its compact, ergonomic All-in-one Monitor™ includes an integrated visual display terminal (VDT), touch screen, and embedded computing system. Back-panel cable connections protect connectors during transport, and the visible power indicator on the All-in-one Monitor™ and the Smart Receiver Unit provides continual feedback for safe system operation.
The CORTRAK® 2 Electromagnetic Transmitting Stylet and CORFLO® Feeding Tube together provide accurate relative positional tracking of the tube tip during insertion for real-time confirmation of tip position.

Compact and portable, the unit allows easy maneuverability in the ICU. Built-in expansion capabilities ensure long equipment life and support. The CORTRAK® 2 Smart Receiver Unit™ technology self-tests system integrity before, during, and after feeding tube placement for greater confidence in safe tube placement.
CORTRAK® 2 EAS's advanced fault response technology provides sophisticated error notifications and trouble-shooting capabilities. The Electromagnetic Transmitting Stylet of the CORTRAK® 2 EAS™ generates a real-time signal allowing advancement and reinsertion for feeding tube repositioning, as needed, in the preferred position in the digestive tract.
