Crystal Farms®, the third-largest cheese company in the U.S., announced the expansion of their new stand-up bag with larger 16-ounce shredded cheese offerings. The new innovative bag uses less packaging but still contains the same four cups of cheese.
“Research indicates that consumers really like the new design and feel good that the bag uses less packaging. At first glance, it may look like less cheese, but rest assured, it’s still the same amount of cheese as the traditional bag. We just made the package smaller,” said Hollie Schroeder, Product Manager for Crystal Farms Cheese.
The new stand-up bag makes it easier than ever for consumers to handle and store their favorite shredded cheeses. With its gusseted design, Crystal Farms’ bag is convenient and functional. Not only does it stand upright on the counter, reducing spills during meal preparation, it allows for easier pouring as well.
“Who doesn’t want greater convenience in their lives, particularly when it comes to meal preparation?” asked Schroder. “Our research shows that stand-up bags are just the kind of convenience consumers are craving. We believe this is the biggest innovation in shredded cheese packaging since the zipper closure.”
The new 16 oz cheeses available in a stand-up bag are:
- Wisconsin Sharp Cheddar
- Finely Shredded Cheddar
- Cheddar
- Marble Jack
- Finely Shredded Mozzarella
- Mozzarella
- Finely Shredded Mexican Taco Blend
