Apericube has launched a new appetizer, an assortment of flavored cheeses called Folifrais. Landor's Paris office developed the inventive name and packaging to support this novel food concept. Folifrais was developed in response to a growing trend, identified in market research, toward finger foods that are suitable for snacking and dipping.
This research also suggests a trend toward healthier food choices. Inspired by a three-leaf clover commonly known as the shamrock, the packaging is an integrated trio of detachable containers, which allow for a variety of flavor combinations and a greater number of guests to be served at the same time. Realistic illustrations of the garden vegetables that flavor the cheeses, the blue-and-white brandmark and the tagline, "Have fun and eat well," unite the packaging while highlighting freshness, flavor and friendliness. The brand name, Folifrais, was created using Landor's proprietary naming methodology, Namerald.
