04/12/2007 Leading packaging manufacturer Harlands Labels has created the striking and technically complex labels for the new luxury expression of the Chivas Regal brand, Chivas Regal 25 Year Old, launched on 28 September in New York.
Produced in limited quantities only, Chivas Regal 25 Year Old is a unique blend of the finest whiskies, aged for a minimum of 25 years. Each individually numbered bottle reflects the matchless quality and heritage of the golden liquid inside. Its ultra premium nature means every aspect of the experience must have a luxury feel and Harlands’ ability to produce technically demanding decorative labels made them the perfect partner for Chivas Brothers.
The Chivas 25 Year Old Scotch whisky labels are printed in 8 colours on solid silver foil with gold foil blocking and embossing. The technical nature of the label dictated the need for it to be produced using two passes on the press.
The new whisky pays homage to the first ever Chivas Regal blend which was shipped from Aberdeen to New York in 1909 to satisfy the sophisticated palate of American high society. The prestigious blend of the finest aged whiskies maintains the company’s position at the head of the premium whisky market.
