ILAPAK will be highlighting its extensive gamut of vanguard technology, as well as solidifying its leadership in providing robust, high performing and affordable solutions for entry level customers.
The 2011 edition of Pack Expo, held in Las Vegas on September 26–28, 2011, will be the ideal setting for buyers to get a firsthand look at ILAPAK’s technologically advanced and cost-effective packaging machinery and product lines. ILAPAK will be highlighting its extensive gamut of vanguard technology, as well as solidifying its leadership in providing robust, high performing and affordable solutions for entry level customers.
Visitors to the stand will be able to inspect nine different machines that highlight the company’s ongoing investments in R&D aimed at reducing operating costs, enhancing performance and constantly improving pack quality in both food and non food applications.
Beginning with the horizontal flowrappers, the Delta Systems Hawk on the stand will be configured for packaging ice cream novelties, accepting random product infeed, singulating the product by way of powered chicane belts that then deliver the product to the low pressure infeed designed to handle fragile, sticky or irregularly shaped products to speeds in excess of 250ppm. The Hawk platform is suitable not only for ice cream but all frozen foods, meat, dairy and fresh food applications where a full wash down environment and strict hygiene standards are required.
Next up is the Delta Systems Phoenix, set up with an easy-cleaning smart-belt feed ideal for bakery and confectionary applications where the product may be delivered at random. The Phoenix is an all-purpose reliable flowrapper easily adaptable to a wide range of applications at up to 400ppm.
Rounding out the Delta Systems catalog is the best-selling Eagle. This dependable wrapper has standard features such as no product/no bag, no gap/no seal and automatic splicing. The Eagle is a true workhorse operating at up to 1200ppm that can be integrated with all product feeding systems. It can also be ordered with optional stainless steel and wash down construction.
ILAPAK’s Carrera line will be represented by two machines on the stand. The first is the Carrera 500 horizontal flow wrapper, an affordable machine that is able to provide features usually found on more costly wrappers. It offers no-product, no-bag and misplaced product detection, while being simple to operate and capable of withstanding heavy duty use. It will be shown configured for Sealstrip’s Freshpack resealable pack.
The Carrera 1000/40 represents the high end of the line with an open frame cantilever design for easy cleaning and faster maintenance, toolless changeover to reduce downtime, no-product, no-bag and misplaced product detection and no-cut feature, all designed to reduce cost-per-pack without sacrificing pack quality and attractiveness.
The last of the horizontal machines at this year’s Pack Expo is the Delta 3000 LDR. It is a versatile flow wrapping machine especially well suited for food and non food products requiring robust hermetic seals, vacuum packing or MAP thanks to its long dwell sealing jaws.
Customers in the market for a VFFS machine will be able to evaluate two impressive Vegatronic models from ILAPAK’s complete line of vertical bag makers and combination weighers. The Vegatronic 500 Combo is an affordable compact bagger ideally suited for candies, snacks and bakery products. It is fitted with an integrated multihead weigher built on the same frame, resulting in a lower height machine suitable for spaces with lower ceilings.
Next up is the Vegatronic 2000 OF VFFS system with an ultrasonic horizontal sealing head insuring the integrity of a hermetic seal even in the presence of product in the seal area. This high performance intermittent motion machine has been engineered to reduce rework to less than 1%, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing the cost per pack. The open frame design makes this machine suited for full wash down environments and hygienic applications, as well as being easier to maintain.
Closing out the packaging machinery on the booth is the Cayenne IM cartoner. This machine is part of a configurable, cost-effective, cartoner program. The Cayenne can be ordered as a large center continuous motion cartoner, a large center intermittent motion cartoner, a small center continuous motion cartoner or as an integrated top load cartoner. All configurations can be supplied right or left hand as standard and are built to metric standards. Stainless steel is used extensively in the construction and full wash down options are available at minimal upcharge.
With the addition of the Cayenne cartoners to its product catalog, ILAPAK can supply true end-to-end packaging solutions, using its own machinery in combination with specialized third party components. From the infeed belt to form, fill and seal, and from cartoning to case packing and palletizing, ILAPAK provides robust solutions that improve your bottom line while maintaining its proven standards of quality year after year.
