At the Emballage trade fair in Paris from November 17th to November 20th, 2014, RKW Group will be showcasing its packaging and film solution portfolio at stand 6 D 071.
As one of the leading international manufacturers of high quality plastic films and nonwovens, RKW Group processes more than 420,000 tons of plastic material at 23 locations all over the world. The group offers a broad range of product and service solutions in films and nonwovens for the hygiene and medical field, for the converting industry, for industrial and consumer packaging as well as for the agricultural and construction sectors.
Mr. Kaufmann explains why RKW Group is exhibiting at Emballage: "France is one of the most important markets in Europe for the RKW Group. We have three sites there and supply all the major French companies in the food and beverage industry. As France's most important packaging trade fair, the Emballage has been RKW's central platform for maintaining contacts and acquiring new customers since 1980. The trade fair offers us the best options for introducing our wide range of packaging solutions, presenting our company in an attractive environment, and approaching decision-makers directly."
RKW Group will present three of its product groups at the Emballage: Packaging solutions for the food and beverage industry with a focus on multipack shrink films, films for industrial packaging with a focus on sack solutions, and industrial films for the converting industry such as laminated films and labeling films.
"In the area of multipack shrink films, we are presenting ultra-thin shrink films that have been printed using the innovative Esko Full HD flexo printing process. Full HD flexo printing delivers impressive results thanks to its unique dot size, fine highlight printing, smooth transitions to zero and an outstanding gravure-like solid ink lay down. RKW is one of the first film manufacturers to receive Esko Full HD certification and has already received several awards for its brilliant Full HD prints," Mr. Kaufmann explains.
As a highlight in the area of industrial packaging, RKW is introducing the new generation of the popular plastic sack RKW ProVent®, now with even better product characteristics. Ten years ago, RKW set a new industry standard in the packaging of powdery goods with the development of the plastic sack RKW ProVent®. This sack is an efficient, sustainable, weatherproof and durable alternative to conventional paper packaging when it comes to transporting, storing and distributing powdery goods. In the area of industrial films, RKW presents sustainable product developments in FPO® (Filled Polyolefin). The use of mineral fillers means that about 50% less plastic is required, and the film has a paper-like feel. The oil- and waterproof material is barely permeable to light, water vapor, and oxygen. This stops food from drying out and means that the contents of the packaging are optimally protected from contamination.
RKW Group is flexible when designing and setting up a stand at a trade fair.
"The way we plan and run our trade fair booths is dependent upon the concept of the trade fair in question and the new products we are presenting there. It's important for us to create a recognition value for our customers and visitors, to communicate clear information and messages, to advise and answer questions, and to offer an open concept which invites customers to visit our booth. Our goal is always to adopt an integrated approach which is reflected in all the actions we take in relation to the trade fair," Mr. Kaufmann says.
