Kabaki Kenyan Purple Tea offers the first line of ready-to-drink teas made from Kenyan purple tea leaves. Packed with Anthocyanins, Antioxidants and Polyphenols our purple teas offer a wide level of therapeutic, restorative and longevity benefits superior to other teas. Available in five delicious, earthy and sweet fruity flavors (raspberry, peach, lemon, lightly sweetened and unsweetened) our teas are organically grown and produced. “Not only refreshing and thirst quenching, but herbal and low in caffeine to boot! The ready-to-drink line rounds out our purple tea offerings, which also include purple tea bags, purple tea leaves and purple leaf extract. We are all about purple.”
Martin Kabaki came to the United States in pursuit of a better life. Martin Kabaki also had a dream of helping his people back home in Kenya who live in poverty with limited access to medical care. Kabaki, LLC improves the Kenyan economy by supporting local tea growers in Kenya who grow purple tea leaves at high elevations where the intense ultraviolet light turns the leaves purple. These tea growers are committed to sustainable, organic and fair trade practices. Kabaki donates 10% of profits to provide access to better medical care for the people of Kenya. “Our company has already started a medical clinic in Kijiji, which we plan to expand into a full-fledged hospital.”
Progress:
Martin Kabaki first shared his purple tea idea at the Expo West show earlier in 2017. It was a concept at the time and needed significant refinement. After the show, New York branding agency, GRA, partnered with Martin to help him along the innovation journey. GRA Chief Marketing Officer, Vera Adamovich stepped in as General Manager of Kabaki, LLC and GRA VP of Creative, Kelly Criswell, joined as Creative Lead (also known as Purple Tea Maven). The end result is a whole new look and feel for the brand, with a complete, clean label reformulation.
Says Vera Adamovich “At Expo East, we plan to speak with as many retailers as possible to expand our retail presence. We will also be speaking with key distributors who can support our expansion. We welcome conversations with CPG companies who may be interested in partnering with them to accelerate our rate of growth through additional investment.” Kabaki Kenyan Purple Tea™ is no longer a concept. “We have product ready to ship right after the Expo East show and we are ready to Rock and Roll!”
