Label-inspection unit
The Checkmat DART (Distributed Architecture for RealTime) label-inspection unit is a multifunction system that uses a centralized CPU to manage a distributed network of inspection processes, such as cameras or sensors. The high-speed CPU ensures precision for monitoring and controlling multiple tasks simultaneously.
With an expandable, modular design, the inspection unit allows components to be added for future inspection requirements. A slender, single-column-control enclosure houses the electronics and I/O that support the system and an I/O component slide rack allows easy access for setup, wiring and component expansion. The Checkmat DART K731 uses smart cameras or sensors to verify labels on containers, which are identified through a comparison with a sample, and checked for position, alignment and quality. Image analysis capabilities include correct label, precise label positioning (horizontal, vertical or slanted), data code (presence and correctness) and codes, including bar code and 2D. It also can read plain text characters via OCR or perform character comparison with OCV.
