The new mid-range machines make the quality of high-end/high-volume machines available to smaller sized and start-up companies. The new FlexFormer 400-700 and the recently introduced BunchWrapper 400-S complement the existing range of lollipop manufacturing machines, and provide an attractively priced entry to lollipop production.
The new CFS Aquarius FlexFormer 400-700 is a medium capacity forming machine for solid or center filled ball, flat or 3D lollipops. The basic machine is available in two executions, one for up to 400 lollipops per minute and the other for up to 700 lollipops per minute (speed quoted is for producing 25 mm lollipops). The basic technology used in the new machine is essentially the same as its bigger brothers, but in a more compact package and offered with the same options and features. There is no compromise on the quality and durability of the machine, and it delivers the reliability performance that is expected of CFS Aquarius equipment.
The high-end FlexFormers can produce at up to 2100 lollipops per minute, and offer a broad range of features and options. Start-up companies in developing markets, smaller-scale lollipop manufacturers and even some larger producers simply wishing to add lower volume products to their range quite often don’t need high-end performance. The new mid-range approach opens the door to equipment of GEA Convenience-Food Technologies for this group.
Efficiency performance
The CFS Aquarius BunchWrapper 400-S shares the advanced features and is built to the same quality standards as its larger, faster brothers. The BunchWrapper 400-S has a wrapping speed 400 lollipops per minute, compared to 600 and 800 lollipops per minute of the larger, faster machines. The new mid-range machine offers a cost-attractive solution for smaller volumes with the same quality and technology.
The BunchWrapper 400-S shares the very low energy consumption of its larger brothers thanks to cableless, electrically-heated diaphragms for sealing the wrapping material around the lollipop stick. This offers not only very efficient energy transfer and excellent heating control, but also exceptionally high reliability thanks to the absence of cables which are liable to fracture during extended use.
The machine also features a patented film-feeding and sealing system that ensures precise positioning and reduced film usage, as well as allowing for a wider range of types and qualities of film. The system is suitable for all types of heat-sealable wrapping materials including cellophane, polypropylene, laminates and wax paper.
The BunchWrapper 400-S is available with an optional double film reel support, a PopCounter that automatically counts lollipops or rejects pre-defined imperfectly wrapped lollipops, an automatic splicing system for automatic change of wrapping material reels and a Quality Assurance System. Special features are also available to make the BunchWrapper 400-S suited to run in less ideal environments, such as dust removal system and air-drying system.
