Mont Blanc Crème Dessert puddings and Riz au Lait rice pudding desserts are available in single-serving bowls with Peel Seam peelable lids. The new 125-gram packages now appear in supermarkets throughout France and will be available in Benelux countries during 2005. The Peel Seam opening system consists of a 73mm aluminum ring, sealed with a peelable flexible aluminium lid and seamed to the 125ml steel bowl, also provided by Crown. The peelable lid has a tab that allows it to be easily and safely removed from the top of the bowl. As children are a major consumer of Mont Blanc desserts, the convenience and safety of the Peel Seam lid are very important added Crown. 'It's not just children but parents who appreciate the safety of the new package and look for it when they're shopping. The single-serve packaging also appeals to adults, since they can take the package with them wherever they go. The canned product does not require refrigeration and can be eaten directly from the bowl,' explained the marketing mirector at Mont Blanc. The new packaging also protects product freshness. Maintaining the sweet flavour and freshness of its chocolate, vanilla, caramel, praline and rice pudding desserts, prepared exclusively with cream from Normandy, was a key concern for Mont Blanc when selecting a packaging option. Mont Blanc said it has a long established and respected brand and that it was essential that its new packaging provided added convenience while protecting the quality flavours that customers had expect. Crown's technical team provided insights on how to fine-tune the seaming process for maximum product quality said the company. The new packaging features a crisp logo and vibrant blue and white mountain image for enhanced brand recognition and differentiation.
