Next Generation Adhesives from Avery Dennison Improve Dispensing Speeds and No-Label Look
The next generation adhesives platform delivers improved liner release balance by enabling high-speed dispensing of up to 1,000 bottles per minute and converting speeds of up to 600 feet per minute.
Sep 20 2010 --- Avery Dennison Corporation launched the next generation adhesives platform, a portfolio of emulsion adhesives that drive productivity, reliability and confidence for both the converter and consumer brand owner. The next generation adhesives platform expands packaging design options with improved clear label and water whitening performance.
Improving the no-label look with better water whitening resistance make the adhesives ideal for demanding applications that include high-speed converting and high-impact package designs necessary for success in the beer, beverage, food, and home and personal care segments.
"Our next generation adhesives demonstrate the commitment of Avery Dennison to developing innovative products that deliver impact on the shelf, where it matters most," said Tina Hannan, Avery Dennison product line director for films. "The goal is to create pressure-sensitive solutions that become industry-leading decorating technologies.”"
The next generation adhesives platform delivers improved liner release balance by enabling high-speed dispensing of up to 1,000 bottles per minute and converting speeds of up to 600 feet per minute. Laid end-to-end, one day's worth of printed bottles would stretch 200 miles. These performance improvements create a wider operating window resulting in accurate dispensing and application while decreasing waste because labels go on properly.
The next generation adhesives platform shares excellent performance in the reduction of "ooze" and balances converting needs with dispensing requirements. Better overall performance with very low ooze means less machine downtime and fewer labeling failures.
