Sun Branding Solutions has managed the rebranding of Mondelez International’s European chewing gum brands Trident, Stimorol and Hollywood, in the biggest cross-country branding project undertaken by Mondelez to date.
Sun Branding Solutions has managed the rebranding of Mondelez International’s European chewing gum brands Trident, Stimorol and Hollywood, in the biggest cross-country branding project undertaken by Mondelez to date.
A total of 30 printing machines were used to produce primary packaging, shelf displays, single and multipack units using lithographic, flexographic and gravure print methods across three different substrates. Sun Branding Solutions was also responsible for developing a colour management programme to simplify the print process.
Penny Thomas, design technology project manager, Mondelez said: “We have been working with Sun Branding Solutions for a number of years now, but this is the first time we have given one agency full responsibility for overseeing a rebranding programme for our entire European gum category. It was a massive undertaking, but an essential evolution for the brands, to bring them under a common positioning. Sun Branding Solutions expertly managed expectations of consistency across the brand, packaging and display units, and we are very pleased with the results.”
Sue Thompson, business unit director at Sun Branding Solutions said: “The scale of this project made it one of the most challenging we have managed for Mondelez, but also the most satisfying. With the use of PantoneLive and our technical knowledge of Mondelez printer suppliers, we formed a standard which was met consistently across the print base. The result has been a successful rollout across 11 countries and a very happy client.”
