Ulker Packs Alpella Riva in Reclosable Wrap

04/06/08 Alpella Riva, the latest chocolate creation from Ulker, Turkey’s biggest confectionery with the last year’s revenue recorded at US$1 billion, has been launched on the market. The chocolate’s defining feature, apart from its heavenly taste achieved due to the application of the latest technologies and new improved recipes from Godiva, world premium chocolate maker and Ulker’s recent most talked about and costly acquisition, is its packaging: an innovative reclosable wrap. Alpella Riva is the first chocolate bar in Turkey to be wrapped in reclosable packaging.

The chocolate bar has a young and mobile image and is targeted at younger population segment in Turkey, which in this country comprises a 75 percent part. Zesty flavours of the chocolate, its easy-to-use and hygienic reclosable packaging, which provides freshness of the taste and neatness, when placed in the pocket or bag, if some part of the chocolate bar is left, together with the remarkably dynamic advertising clip complemented by the catchy motto “Alpella Riva: you are something truly different!” perfectly appeals to the youngsters and younger adults.
The chocolate comes in four delicious varieties: coconut (so far the hip favourite among consumers), biscuit, bitter, and creamy latte.
