The makers of Weetabix have introduced a brand new easy-open paper inner wrap to replace the plastic wrapper which consumers founds difficult to open and seal.
Developed in response to demand from consumers, the new paper inner wrapper is designed to keep the product fresh while also being easy to use. Its arrival has delighted the Weetabix Facebook community with thousands of positive comments posted on the page.
Designed to make opening the inner packaging easier, the new paper wrap tears evenly helping to ensure Weetabix biscuits stay protected from crumbling and breaking. The paper is also easier to fold back after using which will help to keep Weetabix biscuits fresher between serves. The new wrapper has a polyethylene lining which stops the moisture from the atmosphere getting into the Weetabix biscuit, keeping the product fresh throughout its shelf life.
Branding agency Springetts has redesigned the Weetabix pack for the new easy-open paper wrap. The new pack design is available nationwide from this month.
Weetabix called on Facebook fans to post feedback on the Weetabix Facebook page when the product was trialled earlier this year. Over 1,200 fans visited the page to share their thoughts on the new packaging. The paper wrap was met with an overwhelmingly positive response, with over 85% of feedback on the site being positive.
To thank Facebook fans for their invaluable feedback and contribution to the paper wrap trial, Weetabix will be showcasing the research findings from the trial period on the Facebook page to show Weetabix fans their voices have been heard. Facebook users will also be treated to a series of dedicated ‘thank you’ images on the Facebook page.
