At this year’s Packaging Innovations trade show (February 21-22) in Birmingham, UK, packagers from around the globe showcased products primarily targeting the F&B sector. Compostability, lightweighting and bio-based fiber barriers were central trends.
This year, the packaging industry continued its turbulent course away from plastics and toward fiber-based materials.
