Europe’s biggest packaging trade fair relaunched for the first time in six years, with industry leaders from around the world showcasing their latest product innovations and research. The future of bioplastics, compostability, automation and women’s representation were highlighted at the event.
At Packaging Innovations & Empack 2023 in Birmingham, UK, over 340 exhibitors displayed a wide range of packaging products to over 6,000 visitors. PackagingInsights reported from the trade show floor and examined numerous developments from major companies.
In 2022, the packaging industry endured turbulence as recycled plastics prices soared and the Ukraine war sent energy prices skyrocketing.
