APC Packaging offers refillable glass jar for high-end beauty
08 Aug 2023 --- APC Packaging has released a refillable double-walled glass jar (JRGP) for premium beauty and skin care brands.
The JRGP jar can be refilled, a feature made for environmentally conscious consumers and brands. APC Packaging says it “understands the importance of aligning a brand’s values with its packaging choices.”
The jar’s disk is made from PE, while the inner jar and cap are customizable PP that can incorporate PCR to “further enhance the functionality and sustainability of the packaging.”
PCR can be incorporated into the design to decrease a brand’s carbon footprint. The inner cups snap into place and are replaceable and recyclable.
Decorating the jar
According to the creators, the JRGP jar offers “limitless” decoration possibilities to allow brands to display their message while fulfilling environmentally sustainable requirements.
Additionally, APC Packaging has a 3D designer tool. Customers can create a 3D render of which product they desire and customize it by choosing color, text and logo. The tool enables customers to design and brand the glass refillable jar how they please.
The outer jar is made from high-quality, durable glass, which “provides an elegant and substantial feel.” The pot has a 50 mL capacity.
The JRGP is a new version of APC Packaging’s double-walled glass jar released in February.
Refillable trend
In the world of refillables, Burberry recently chose “Barbie” star Emma Mackey as its face for the new Goddess Fragrance launch – the brand’s first fragrance packaged in a refillable bottle.
Subtl, specializing in stackable makeup solutions, released its Stak 2.0 for consumers to build a custom makeup collection with revamped pods and packaging.
The product’s concept is to create an entire makeup routine that fits in the palm of a hand that can be refilled for consumer convenience. The refillable design utilizes a monomaterial and bezel technology which extends the packaging’s lifecycle.
Additionally, wood-based packaging innovator, Quadpack unveiled the Idol Woodacity Solo Twist Compact. The beauty compact is entirely made of wood from European environmentally sustainably-managed forests.
The casing is refillable while featuring a Solo Twist closure system, bringing an inclusive gesture for both right- and left-handed consumers. The closure has an embedded mirror in the cap, with the top and base of the compact being designed as separate parts, allowing the cap to be used as a pocket mirror.
