ArmorX™ CBP™ Bone-In Shrink Bags
The Curwood ArmorX CBP (Complete Bone-In Protection) was recently introduced for large cuts of bone-in meats. It is an extension of the Curwood’s ABP® (Absolute Bone-In Protection) product line. CBP shrink bags provide ultra-tough, Total Perimeter Protection(SM) in a unique, multi-layer coextruded film which offers an alternative for the traditional patch bags.

CBP shrink bags provide ultra-tough, Total Perimeter Protection(SM) in a unique, multi-layer coextruded film which offers an alternative for the traditional patch bags. Patch bags, by definition, do not provide 100% surface protection; they only cover a portion of the bone-in bag contents. Leakers can occur – typically after packaging and shipment of meat cuts. ArmorX CBP solves this problem by providing the most effective, most complete bone-in protection against punctures. Trying to minimize leakers in bone-in packaging has always been an issue for meat processors. ArmorX has effectively solved this problem. As a result, you’ll see a lot more bone-in products in supermarkets in the future. The ArmorX CBP shrink bag can also be used for bone-in meat items for case-ready applications due to its crystal clarity, printability and high-shrink features. ArmorX CBP is excellent for pork spareribs, St. Louis style spareribs, back ribs, bone-in loins, picnics, butts, shanks, beef back ribs, short ribs, short loins, lamb racks, lamb chops, smoked turkeys, bone-in hams, smoked picnics and smoked butts. CBP packages are available as plain, monogrammed or printed in widths of 8-inch to 24-inch and lengths of 14-inch to 48-inch.
