Beatson Clark’s new lightweight beer bottle caused a stir when it was unveiled at Food & Drink Expo at the Birmingham NEC. The 500ml tapered beer bottle can be manufactured in amber or white flint and weighs just 285g – over a third of Beatson Clark’s original 500ml beer bottle design, which weighed in at 403g.
“We attend the show every year and we always find it a really useful event,” said Beatson Clark Marketing Manager, Charlotte Taylor. “We got to talk face to face with lots of our customers and we came away after three days with a lot of leads and enquiries.”
Visitors to the stand were also able to view 360° visualisations of the new beer bottle with customised embossing – the result of the latest investment in state-of-the-art equipment at Beatson Clark which enables customers to see what new products will look like in three dimensions on screen.
By using bespoke finish moulds Beatson Clark’s clients can create their own unique, customised design by having their company name or logo embossed onto the bottle.
“Our new beer bottle design is the result of market research which revealed a big demand for a tapered bottle available from general sale,” Charlotte added .
“The bottle is suitable for beers, ales or ciders, and is interchangeable with an MCA neck finish so can also be used for soft drinks. It attracted a lot of interest at the expo and we’re confident it will be very popular with the drinks sector.”
