Amcor is set to show its expanded range of rigid and flexible packaging solutions at Packaging Innovations & Empack in Birmingham, UK, February 11–12, 2026. Its solutions feature flexible and rigid offerings, designed to help brands respond to UK packaging regulations.
The company’s portfolio includes rigid cups, bottles, and containers, as well as flexible films, pouches, and wraps. Amcor explains that it aims to highlight the “intersection of performance and design” with sustainability at the event.
Peter Briggs, sales director for Food UK at Amcor, says: “Our combined portfolio enables brands to evaluate rigid and flexible options side by side, making it easier to choose solutions that deliver measurable sustainability gains while supporting performance and market differentiation.”

Products like the DairySeal Round Bottle, AmLite Recyclable Film, and AmPrima Recycle-Ready Pouches are examples of the types of solutions the company will showcase at the event.
At Packaging Innovations, the packaging giant will also demonstrate how recycled polymers, lightweight structures, and refill-ready systems can reduce environmental impact without compromising product protection or consumer appeal.
Designing for regulation
The flexible and rigid solutions are designed to help brands manage UK packaging taxes and single-use plastic restrictions, says Amcor. The UK’s EPR was originally planned for implementation in October 2024, but the government announced it would not come into force until October 2025, due to lobbying pressure.
At last year’s Packaging Innovations, the UK’s EPR dominated discussions, with the scheme administrator, Pack UK, announcing itself at the event. Since then, the UK government has introduced draft amendments to the legislation, including offsets for companies implementing closed-loop waste management, fee adjustments, and definitions of fiber-based.
Amcor’s latest innovations
Amcor recently enhanced its expertise in rigid and flexible packaging for the de-icing market. The company says that it is now capable of designing and manufacturing containers, trigger sprays, and bags in different shapes and sizes.
In addition, Amcor partnered with French organic snack producer Alter Eco to introduce a recyclable, paper-based, reduced-weight packaging solution for its 200 gram chocolate range in France.
Packaging Insights explored the latest innovations in sustainable paper-based packaging, including high-barrier, leak-resistant materials, with Nils de Rybel, senior research engineer at Amcor.
Meanwhile, Amcor and Greenback Recycling Technologies commissioned the first UK deployment of Greenback’s Enval advanced recycling module at Amcor’s Heanor facility.
