A leading shrink sleeve manufacturer has developed a bright new ink-based solution for the latest modern juice range, Evoid Drinks.
Chadwicks Sleeves has created a PVC 50 micron shrink sleeve that uses speciality inks to give Evoid its signature vividly-coloured identity.
Evoid Drinks had previously encountered application problems with its sleeve design, due to the use of fluorescent inks. Chadwicks Sleeves was able to colour-match the drink manufacturer’s existing design and maintain Evoid’s intense, fluorescent look without hampering the smooth application onto the bottles.
Evoid contains no less than 78 per cent fruit juices and comes in a variety of four flavours – Cherry, Blueberry, Lemon and Mixed Berry – in a can, carton or bottle. One drink can provide one of your five-a-day, and consumers can choose between still or sparkling varieties.
As part of the Performance Films and Foils business unit of the Flexible Packaging Division of the global Clondalkin Group, Chadwicks works with sister company Nyco in Switzerland to deliver expert packaging solutions to its customers.

It’s bright, fluorescent look really is a distinguishing factor, so it was important for us to locate and match the correct coloured inks that were needed to maintain its image.
“Using the expert knowledge of our in-house design and technical teams, as well as some robust research and testing, we were able to supply Evoid with a sleeving solution that matched its fantastic new products perfectly.”

Part of the Flexible Packaging Division of the Clondalkin Group, Chadwicks works with its sister company Nyco, a shrink sleeve manufacturer based in Switzerland, to provide a joint service to multi-site European buyers, meaning Chadwicks, together with Nyco, can provide a wider range of print processes including UV flexo, gravure and offset litho.
Clondalkin Group has more than 40 manufacturing sites located across Europe and North America.
