The Clip-Pak(r) system combines a patented plastic spout and etching design with an advanced application system. Consumers benefit from ease of opening and re-closure as well as the spouts superior pouring. The package opens like a beverage can. When the consumer lifts the plastic handle it causes the flange at the opposite end to force a hole through the carton board. The etching design improves the opening and facilitates penetration of the plastic layer on the inside of the package. Once opened, the package can be easily recapped. Processors are said to benefit because Clip-Pak has a simple, efficient single station, post-filling application, which is more economical than foil tab two-step systems; and the precision laser etching preserves package integrity.
