Compostable labels offer no-label look

One of first US label manufacturers to supply labels from corn-based film, SpectraGraphics Label Systems, Lenexa, KS, converts ultra-clear pressure-sensitive film based on NatureWorks PLA (polylactide) from NatureWorks LLC, Minnetonka, MN (formerly Cargill Dow). Film with clear polyethylene terephthalate liner runs on same labeling equipment as other clear film labelstock. Ultraviolet, water-based inks provide high-quality printing, opacity at competitive cost.
