Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety and Energy Technology in Germany are developing a compostable packaging tape that can be disposed of cheaply and creates less waste. And the company working with the team, Logotape, believes that if oil prices continue to rise and manufacturing costs can be brought down, then the it could ultimately be possible to sell this new organic packaging tape for about the same price as conventional products.
