Dairy Crest’s British butter brand, Country Life, is launching new limited edition Great British butter packs, adorned with the Union Jack flag to coincide with the Royal Wedding celebrations this month.
The new packs have been designed to celebrate British nationality and will be available throughout the month of April.
The limited edition packs will be supported by a new burst of TV during the week of the Royal Wedding, to make the most of the brand’s British credentials.
The ads, featuring former Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon, will air during ITV’s Daybreak adverts throughout the week of the Royal wedding.
Nathan King, Head of Marketing for Butters and Spreads at Dairy Crest, said: “The new packs have been designed to celebrate all things British and, for a limited period only, will be printed with the Union Jack flag to mark this great British occasion and Country Life butter’s Britishness.”
Country Life is the only major butter brand made exclusively with milk from British dairy farmers. Since its launch in 2008, the Lydon TV ad has helped 61% of UK consumers become aware that Country Life is British.
Country Life butter is currently worth £70 million and is the only major branded butter to carry the Red Tractor assurance logo, a symbol of commitment to supplying quality assured products and support for farming.
Country Life also sponsors The Prince’s Countryside Fund, supporting a sustainable future for British farmers and rural communities and by launching this new packaging the brand aims to re-enforce its support for the fund.
