DS Smith Is Winner At EFIA Print Awards 2016

The European Flexographic Industry Association (EFIA) awarded DS Smith with a prize in gold and one in silver. The jury was convinced by high-class prints for DS Smith’s customers Henkell & Co. Sektkellerei KG and ültje GmbH by the DS Smith plant Fulda and DS Smith Pre-Press Services GmbH.

The European Flexographic Industry Association (EFIA) awarded DS Smith with a prize in gold and one in silver. The jury was convinced by high-class prints for DS Smith’s customers Henkell & Co. Sektkellerei KG and ültje GmbH by the DS Smith plant Fulda and DS Smith Pre-Press Services GmbH.

 

The EFIA Print Awards are annually awarded to outstanding typographical implementations of flexo prints in the industry. It was the second time that DS Smith in the region Germany & Switzerland participated on this competition and won directly two awards in the category “Flexo print on paper – International“, with two of its submissions.

 

This success was only made possible by the strong collaboration of DS Smith Pre-Press Services, the DS Smith pre-print specialist in the region Germany & Switzerland, and the DS Smith plant in Fulda, which is responsible for the print and the production of these packaging solutions.

 

“We decided to submit the prints of ‘Rosé Sekt trocken’ prepared for the brand Fürst von Metternich of the Henkell & Co. Sektkellerei KG and ‚Kesselnüsse‘ for Intersnack Group’s brand ültje, because of the excellent realisation of colour brilliance and image details. The printed images were both printed in the highest quality therefor there is no need to shrink for a direct comparison with offset printing“, says Steffen Blankenburg, Head of Printing Department at DS Smith in Fulda.
