Fourth PEN beer bottle from Rexam

Launched on the Danish market in May the bottle is being used for DBG’s Royal Pilsner and Royal Classic brands. Filling takes place at the Albani Bryggeri in Odense, Denmark, where a filling line was reconstructed for the new bottle. The design of the PEN beer bottle is unique to the Danish Brewery Group.

This is a lightweight solution with the PEN bottles weighing 36 grammes compared with existing glass solutions at 312 grammes. It is believed consumers will welcome this change. High product reliability makes PEN particularly suitable for beer, a beverage more sensitive to light and oxygen than soft drinks and water. In a refillable format the bottle can be reused up to 20 times and is fully recyclable thereafter. Rexam is the only commercial manufacturer of PPEN bottlesEN beer bottles, currently sold to breweries worldwide.
