This June, Galbani Dolcelatte will receive a makeover with brand new packaging in a bid to improve the appetite appeal of the product.
From June, Galbani Dolcelatte will be available in new packaging, which hopes to enhance communication of the flavour and texture of the product.
It should strengthen the link between Dolcelatte and Galbani and underline the Italian origin and spirit of the brand.
Martin Rickenback, group marketing director for Lactalis McLelland Ltd, said: “This is a very exciting time for the brand.
“Galbani Dolcelatte was originally developed exclusively for the UK in 1960 and 50 years on it is still the preferred Italian blue cheese brand here.
“With its distinctive creamy taste and delicious mild softness, Galbani Dolcelatte’s unique recipe appeals to those who are introducing their palates to blue cheese and people who prefer a milder flavour of blue cheese. It is also perfect for cooking with.”
Galbani Dolcelatte is a “smooth and creamy” blue cheese, which claims to offer a milder alternative to powerful blue cheese.
Its soft texture makes it versatile, to be used on its own or as an addition to a variety of dishes such as pasta, pizza and risotto, and it is this multi-use that the brand is hoping to push through its new packaging roll-out.
Galbani Dolcelatte is also available in Piccante, a full-flavoured blue cheese that has matured for 90 days.
The new Galbani Dolcelatte packaging will be available from June 2011 in 150g packs in all good retailers across the UK.
