Zeller Plastik has launched Rio, a new standard lightweight 55mm headstand valve dispensing closure targeting the jams and condiments markets. Premier Foods Group Limited is introducing Rio initially on Hartley’s Squeezy Jam.
The versatile closure design is more than 25% lighter than Zeller’s current standard and utilises a large diameter valve for clean, convenient and effective dispensing. Two standard valve options are available - a two-slit version for preserves and a three-slit version for sauces or chutneys with fruit or vegetable particles; alternatively the closure can be supplied without a valve. Drainage features are provided for manufacturers using water jets in their post-filling operation to cool hot-fill products. Induction heat seals provide an excellent hermetic seal and Zeller Plastik offers three-tab peelable or Lift ‘n’ Peel options.
