Heinz, through its leading Orlando brand has entered the crushed tomato segment with TBA 750 Slim ReCap 2 packages. This market is today based on cans of which 120 million are sold per year in 400 and 800 grams format.
Heinz, through its leading Orlando brand has entered the crushed tomato segment with TBA 750 Slim ReCap 2 packages. This market is today based on cans of which 120 million are sold per year in 400 and 800 grams format. Tetra Brik packages already represent 52% of the fried tomato segment, previously dominated by cans. The product is filled in a TBA/8 machine and is distributed in 2x6 trays. Market acceptance is very good as the TBA 750 Slim ReCap 2 apart from being easy to open, handle and store, gives an image of containing more product than alternative 800 gram cans. A strong publicity campaign is forecast by our customer for 2004 and 2005.
