Heinz has announced a new limited-edition label for its market leading Heinz Beanz, reminding consumers, but particularly mums, that the nation’s favourite baked beans provide ‘1 of your 5 a day’.
The new-look design will be on packs from mid-September and will run across Heinz Beanz 415g tins, Heinz Beanz Snap Pots and Heinz Beanz multipacks.
This is the first label change since Heinz removed the word ‘baked’ from the front of packs in 2008, and retains the iconic Heinz turquoise colour, keystone shape and baked beans image. The new label replaces the word Beanz with the ‘1 of your 5 a day’ statement, which reminds consumers of the health credentials associated with Heinz Beanz.
Paul White, Marketing Manager, Heinz Beanz, said: “Heinz Beanz have always been low in fat and meet the 2010 Department of Health Responsibility Deal salt targets. The new label simply ensures that mums are fully aware of the nutritional benefits Heinz Beanz offer.
“It’s important we all enjoy a healthy, balanced diet, but sometimes it’s difficult to get children to eat their greens. Heinz Beanz gives the best of both worlds; kids get to eat something they love for tea, whilst mums can rest assured that with just three spoonfuls of Heinz Beanz, they’ve provided their family with 1 of their 5 a day.
“Our research shows that there are several things mums really want from meal times – healthy food their children will eat and enjoy, meals that are quick and easy to prepare, and a variety of meal options.
However, busy lives and fussy eaters often mean mums are struggling to provide ‘5 a day’ to their families. Heinz Beanz offer mums all of the above, and best of all, the whole family loves them!”
The Heinz Beanz ‘1 of your 5 a day’ activity will also be supported by an above the line campaign from September. From Spring 2012, the Heinz Beanz pack design will return to its traditional appearance, with the addition of a prominent ‘1 of your 5 a day’ stamp on the front of pack. The back of pack will remain the same throughout.
