Chef Robotics and Packline launch AI-powered food pack automation system
Key takeaways
- Chef Robotics and Packline Solutions integrate AI to optimize food production and packaging assembly, enhancing efficiency and flexibility.
- The partnership enables wireless communication between equipment, streamlining operations and reducing the need for manual oversight.
- This collaboration allows food manufacturers to increase production volume while minimizing waste and maintaining product quality.

Chef Robotics and Packline have developed AI-enabled systems for end-to-end food and packaging assembly. The US-based companies use wireless integration to enable communication between their food and packaging production equipment.
“Food manufacturers need to reduce costs and increase output while staying flexible,” says Rajat Bhageria, founder and CEO at Chef Robotics.
“This partnership delivers exactly that. Together, only one QA person and a line manager are needed to keep the line running, freeing assembly workers for high-value tasks across the plant.”
Amir Tamshe, founder at Packline Solutions Group, comments: “Chef brings a next-generation approach to food automation with their AI and vision-based robots. Combined with our expertise in food packaging, we knew there was potential for a joint solution focusing on speed and flexibility.”
Increasing production volume
Chef Robotics uses AI to help food companies increase their production volume, and Packline Solutions Group designs and delivers high-performance packaging equipment and materials for food producers.
Packline leverages its expertise in modular automation, precision filling, and advanced rigid and flexible packaging materials to help food manufacturers reduce waste and maintain product integrity. The company offers full-line integration solutions and industry insight.
The partnership has allowed the companies to develop a wireless end-to-end communication between Chef's and Packline's equipment throughout the production line.
This synergy is said to present an advantage over traditional depositors who cannot efficiently accommodate variety in SKUs, such as different ingredients, portion sizes, tray positions, and placement requirements.
Chef Robotics and Packline say that the lack of efficiency often results in manufacturers operating below capacity or working “substantial” overtime to meet demands.
Recently, Chef Robotics also delivered an automation solution for food manufacturers alongside packager Industria Lavorazione Prodotti Resine e Affini.
