For the introduction of its latest EDP, Satine, with accompanying sampler and perfumed body lotion and shower gel, Lalique selected Albea, for its breadth of beauty and personal care packaging. For this new project, Lalique wanted a sensual, graceful, and ultra-feminine sensibility, evocative of the delicate pink of satin. In partnership with Albea’s team, Lalique selected the company’s Panache spray technology platform for the 30-, 50-, and 100ml retail perfume. To support the promotional launch of the fragrance, Lalique selected the Sof’n’Touch sampler for the mini-version of the Satine fragrance. In addition, the launch of the fragrance also includes the company’s 50mm cylindrical tubes. These were used for the two flankers: a perfumed body lotion and a perfumed shower gel. According to Carole Grassi, Albea’s Cosmetics Category Manager, the airy, light and dry spray characteristics of the Panache platform helped the customer impart a sense of opulence and sensuality.
“Lalique appreciated the Panache performance, which delivers a sensation of walking through a gentle, deep and long-lasting cloud of fragrance,” Grassi said. Lalique selected a glass, silk-screened version of Albéa’s Sof’n’Touch sampler. This industry reference sampler allows fragrance application via capillary action, which provides end-users with a timeless, elegant touch gesture. The product is decorated with a handcrafted elastic string around the collar of the mini-product, designed to capture the ballet slipper motif. The company also built upon its long history of developing tube products for Lalique for all the fragrance flankers of the famous crystal brand.
For this new launch, two matching pearly-pink COEX tubes with hot stamping decoration and a sleeved flip-top were developed. Because customers look for enhanced supply chain efficiency, product differentiation, and value, Albéa’s product range, technology and entrepreneurial drive helped make the most complex global launch successful. Lalique is one of the world’s best known companies in the perfume, crystal and jewelry business.
