Multisorb Technologies introduces enhanced Freshmax
The enhanced FreshMax contains a solid form sorbent that is contained if a packet is accidentally sliced open.
27/09/05 Multisorb Technologies, the world leader in active packaging solutions, introduces a new and improved version of the FreshMax(TM) self- adhesive oxygen absorber.
The enhanced FreshMax contains a solid form sorbent that is contained if a packet is accidentally sliced open. To further improve the product, the new FreshMax employs a proprietary structure that assures seal adhesion and dispensing integrity. This structure allows for highly effective and reliable insertion into the package, which helps maintain maximum efficiency in food packaging operations.
Enhanced FreshMax products extend freshness and protect against spoilage, mold growth, and other damage. The oxygen absorbers retain food taste and color in packaged foods including sliced deli and processed meats, nuts, baked goods, snack foods, and dairy products.
Through the use of oxygen scavenger technology, FreshMax prevents the growth of aerobic pathogens and organisms and controls the oxidative chemical and biochemical spoilage reactions that occur in products within a sealed package. By reducing and maintaining the oxygen content within packaging to below 0.01 percent, FreshMax assists food products to retain their nutritional value and eliminates the need for BHA, BHT, sulfur dioxide, sorbates, benzoates, and other food additives.
A self-adhesive oxygen absorber, FreshMax is applied to the interior surface of almost any package using conventional labeling equipment or insertion machines. FreshMax products range in capacity from 5cc to 25cc and are available in spools or fan-folded for automatic dispensing.
