It is designed to provide dietary supplement and vitamin manufacturers and packagers with an effective source-tagging solution for their product lines. Approved by the FDA for direct food contact, the capsule label can be inserted into bottles, boxes and other packaged consumer goods during manufacturing. The source-tagging process decreases inventory theft by effectively hiding the anti-theft label from view. Vitamins and dietary supplements have been difficult to tag due to bottle shapes and sizes, and externally placed anti-theft labels can interfere with dosage and warning information on the bottles. It consists of a standard Ultra-Max anti-theft label overwrapped in an FDA-approved plastic wrapper, and can be turned off at point-of-sale by using any of the co.'s distance deactivation devices. The labels can be turned on and off regularly while maintaining performance.
